second amendment

(blue dot safes)

second amendment digital pistol vault, model dpv-100

This is an odd safe for a California-based company to sell for the purpose of securing guns. The on-board programming of the safe does not allow enough user access codes to be in compliance with California’s Firearm Safety Device (FSD) standards. Worse, the bypass lock is a short-cylinder cross lock, one of the weakest locks that Chinese manufacturers install on personal safes. I’ve picked these locks open multiple times online with tools anyone can purchase through GOSO Lock Picks or on Amazon.

This safe was examined on March 26, 2020.
