First Alert 5200DF

This device is designed to do double-duty as a small safe and portable case. A four-button keypad and a bypass cylinder are the only ways of accessing the 5200DF. In many ways, this device is reasonably well designed for inexpensive gun storage. However, the onboard programming is not well thought out. An attacker can enter a long, random string of keypad numbers (from 1 to 4) and the system will wait for the correct sequence that is the current access code. This safe was examined July 15, 2019.
