I posted my findings regarding this device on April 19, 2018, and I wrote up a short piece for Ammoland Shooting Sports News. The title was Amarey Biometric Gun Safe FAIL. Not long after I exposed Amarey’s gun safe, Amarey abandoned its sporting-goods product line and took down its website temporarily. When the website was up and running again, the Amarey name was no longer associated with this safe. Amarey is now in the business of selling automated vacuum cleaners.

This VIVReal safe was the same product sold under the Amarey name. After Amarey abandoned its sporting-goods product line, the design for this safe was picked up by VIVReal. The updated version of the safe could not be pulled open like the Amarey safe, though the product was still weak. VIVreal wasn’t able to make a go of it, and also chose to abandon the product.
